Thank You

Thank you to those who make taking our kids out in public easier. Bean is a month from age 2. Toddler tantrums are regular occurrences. Being loud, running around in circles and having too much energy on little sleep is a norm. Then we have Peanut. She will cry over spilled milk (formula or breastmilk...doesn't matter) When she's hungry she lets out a blood curdling scream of terror (even if she ate 30 min. prior). She hates being in her carseat (doesn't every kid?). Unfortunately, its the easiest way to carry her. Toting 2 kids under 2 into drs offices etc is tough. I have no words. Yesterday, I had my kidney appt. Things look good other than possibly having an ulcer and GERD. Anyway, the dr and staff were AMAZING. They let her sit at the desk, play with a snoopy (and apparently it came home with us and they were OK) and get stickers etc. They were so enamored by her. Actually, they asked to have us come back just so they could see her again. The dr was outstanding as well. He let her sit on his lap and be super crazy. They didn't mind. They didn't ask that we contain her, or ask her to calm down. They were kind. Its tough having small kids and yet they made the appt. so much easier! Recently, we have been running into people who understand. A hyper toddler is NOT always a good thing...but when people are understanding it helps. We don't take her out to these places for fun but because we have to. Today...we got taxes done. The lady gave her paper and markers to color with. She was not at all offended by her being hyper. Yes, we have a hyper child. We let her explore the world. We try not to be limiting. I don't like to be a disciplinarian. I understand she is testing boundaries. She just happens to be crazy hyper. Peanut is actually the calmer child. (who would have thought?) I just want to thank those who make our life and our kids' lives easier. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for accommodating us. We appreciate it!

I also want to thank Kroger stores. They have been putting a HUGE effort into making/selling GMO free foods! as well as dairy free. Bean is allergic to dairy and it REALLY helps when she can eat "normal" just without the dairy. Today she had a waffle for the first time :) It makes us happy and life easier knowing she can enjoy food without making her sick!

Lots of thank you's today. All well deserved. Being a parent is NOT easy. Two kids? even harder. With great people/organizations who really try to be understanding, it makes things a bit easier. And not judging helps :) I always feel terrible when the tantrums happen...but what can I do? They will happen...doesn't matter. In an airport, church, dr's office....they are just going to happen. I appreciate those who bear with us as we learn and grow as parents. THANK YOU!!!!!
