Anyone have a snow day? Apparently, we have names for snow patterns. Who knew? Leon is this crazy's name. Leon. Welcome Leon. You make for an interesting day! Bean went out and played in the snow. She loves snow. She's been staring outside all day. Peanut got to look out as well, but since she's been sick some this winter, she will have to wait till next year #snowangels
I've also been sick so no going out for me :/
I would LOVE to be out sledding!!! But alas...that must wait.
We have GOT to teach Bean to make a snow angel...that would be uber awesome! Hoping the snow keeps coming and stays a day or so ;) So many fun things to do! and who doesn't love a snowperson? (We should be politically correct here right? Do we still say snowman? snow-woman? Seriously need to re-watch Frosty again...)
Bean went with her Dad to see Frozen in November. So now she is OBSESSED with Olaf the snowman. She grabs Olaf this morning after realizing that snow=snowman. This kid is too smart. Yeah...too smart :p
And now she is wearing my slippers. At least she is wearing something warm. This kid HATES gloves. mittens. socks. We are lucky if when cold she will even keep ANY of these items on. Peanut doesn't like socks either. Can someone please write a manual on HOW to explain to your young children the benefit of warmth? I think I am the most frustrated that I cannot physically keep warm things on my kids without them throwing them to Timbuktu!!!! Bribes? I don't think they are old enough... *sigh* Right now she is hugging my shoes...thankfully they are NOT as covered in snow as hers are. PHEW! She DID get them on the right foot.... She knows her ABC's, knows there is a sequence of things (although sometimes #5 is #16 and #10 is #2....we are working on it) and she is learning colors. (WHY CAN'T MY CHILD SLOW DOWN A BIT?????? I'm not ready for all this!!!) She knows Big Bird as yellow. Elmo as red. Cookie Monster as Blue and we are learning Oscar= Green. So I guess that leaves us with learning right and left? What next? will she want to learn to tie her shoes? Speak another language? drive a car? *sigh* Childhood goes to fast when you are the parent (and amazingly slow when you are the kid). How on earth does she know the right feet to put shoes on???? she's only 22 months! I guess I should bring out the flashcards for Peanut. She may chew on them but heck...osmosis works right? She likes clocks too. Did I mention this? Oh goodness.... so many things she wants to learn. Clocks? And ALL forms. Digital and non....I just hope she enjoys learning like this when she is 12..... But for now...clocks, colors, ABC's, numbers, shoes, and anything else her mind wants to learn....She is seriously too smart! Everything interests her. Peanut is entertained by alot as well. We have two very smart kids. I say we are blessed....
I realized last night during tummy time...I am NOT ready for Peanut to crawl. Do I prolong it by doing other things? I mean the more I let her on her tummy the sooner I will have a crawler...could be my demise. A toddler running everywhere and a crawler. I may end up having to bring the caffeine back in order to survive... what do you recommend?
